To the editor:
A headline in the Oct. 29 Gazette reads 'Obama urges support for health workers.”
In the article, President Barack Obama states that medical workers are doing God's work over there and they are doing it to keep us safe. He later goes on to say that, yes, military personnel are over there as well but they are just 'doing their job” unlike volunteer medical workers.
I'm sorry, but did medical workers not go to school to obtain their skills so aren't they just doing their jobs as well?
To regulate military personnel as just 'doing their jobs” and not receive just as much praise for putting their lives on line as medical personnel shows me that our president doesn't place as much value on a military personnel life like he does others.
