Calvin F. Lovetinsky, 91, of rural West Branch, died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Solon Nursing Care Center. A visitation for family and friends will take place from 5 to
7 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.
Memorials in Calvin's name may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

Calvin Francis Lovetinsky was born March 31, 1924, the son of Frank and Cora (Lumpa) Lovetinsky. After graduating from West Branch High School, he served an enlistment in the Navy Reserves. On Dec. 31, 1951, he married Della M. Fountain in Iowa City. They had raised their family on the farm and farmed together their entire lives, until Della's death in July 2008.
His family includes his daughter, Lisa Nearad, and her husband, Kurt, of Swisher; and son, Lynn Lovetinsky, and his wife, Tonya, of West Branch; and four grandchildren, Dale and Josey Nearad and Collin and Kaitlyn Lovetinsky.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister, Mary Dolezal.
