McCallum, Christopher H.

Christopher H. McCallum, 79, of 1837 Eighth Avenue S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010. Services: 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Jason Poling. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at the funeral home. Entombment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his children, Denise (Franklin) Glubka of Cedar Rapids and Christopher (Joelle) McCallum of Yankton, S.D.; grandchildren, Mandi (Jason) Holden of Byron, Minn. and Tracy Glubka of Cedar Rapids; great grandchildren, Maeva and Makayla; brothers, Curtis, Calvin, Clark and Jan; and sister, Charlotte Tennis.

Christopher was preceded in death by his wife, Immogene; parents; and brother, Clark.

Born March 24, 1930, in Edgewood, Christopher was the son of Christopher and Maxine (Baker) McCallum. On Oct. 27, 1956, in Greeley, he was united in marriage to Immogene Hildebrand. She died March 4, 2009.

For 20 years, Christopher worked for FMC and then AEGON for seven years.

Some of Christopher's joys were boating, fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time at his cabin in Guttenberg.
