Letter: Obama’s vacations have been costly

President Barack Obama is on his Hawaii vacation costing taxpayers millions of dollars. Wouldn't it have been nice if he decided to forego a vacation that is so expensive especially since he will be out of office in less than 30 days?
No, that is not Obama's way. In my opinion, he does not care about 'America,” but only about himself. He has driven this country into an unmanageable debt. He has granted more releases/sentence reductions to prisoners than the last 11 presidents combined. As a 40-year corrections employee, I am certain that there were more than drug crimes committed by these people being given special treatment. But by doing this he gains quick popularity with part of his base.
Obama has left a tremendous amount of negatives for the next president. He bowed down to Iran in the Iran deal. He whimped out on the ‘line in the sand'. He has fostered an anti-authority attitude by his comments about police, by not enforcing immigration laws regarding border control or sanctuary cities. There also is the poor relationship with Israel.
I voted for Obama in 2008, but not 2012. All the promises about keeping your insurance and your doctor were enough for me to see how underhanded he was willing to be to get his way. The nightmare is about over. Thank God.
