Peachee, Ralph W.
Ralph W. Peachee, 80, of Monona, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, in the Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital of pneumonia. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, Waterloo. Burial: Garden of Memories, with military rites by Becker-Chapman Post 138 American Legion and Waterloo Post 1623 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Ralph W. Peachee was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Mount Auburn, Iowa, the son of George Ora and Mildred Thelma (Reddington) Peachee. He joined the United States Army and served as a corporal during the Korean War. Ralph was married to Joyce Steepleton on Oct. 18, 1951, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids; she preceded him in death on March 17, 2005. He was employed at John Deere as a pattern maker, retiring in 1987, after 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Joyce; and a brotherm Wallace Peachee.
Ralph is survived by two sons, Michael Peachee of Garfield, Ark., and Tom (Teresa) Peachee of Lancaster, Calif.; two daughters, Barb (David) Jones of Apple Valley, Minn., and Denise (Bill) Benda of Monona; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildrenl and a sister Darlene Hopper of Waterloo.
Ralph will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
