Cook, Stenger, Green unanimous River Valley Elite Teamers

Two players each from Cascade, Iowa City Regina and Monticello have been named to the All-River Valley Conference's Elite Boys' Basketball Team, the league announced Wednesday.
The honored include Drew Cook and Nathan Stenger of Regina, which is in Thursday afternoon's Class 2A state tournament semifinals. Cook is a senior, Stenger a junior.
Cascade, which was beaten by Regina in Tuesday's state quarterfinals, placed Devin Green and Ries Rausch on the elite squad. Green, Cook and Stenger were the only Elite Team unananimous picks.
Matt Manternach and Jarrett Easton also are Elite Teamers, joined by Jayden Johnson of North Cedar, Devon Belk of Camanche, Nick Wall of Northeast Goose Lake and Tyler Banowetz of Bellevue.
The division coaches of the year are Matt Fouch of Tipton (South) and Al Marshall of Cascade and Tim Lambert of Monticello (North).
