Harder, Shirley Maye (Andresen)

Shirley Maye (Andresen) Harder, 73, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Keystone, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at her home following a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Christ United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine, with Pastor Steve Hubbell officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone. Interment will be in Keystone Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Shirley was born Aug. 4, 1939, in Keystone, to LeRoy and Elvera Lena (Luze) Andresen. She enjoyed watching birds and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Shirley is survived by her children and their families: her son, Kevin (Anna) Harder of Cedar Rapids and their children, Tristan (Katie) Harder of Mount Pleasant and Daniel Eddy, Kayla and Jakeb Harder, all of Cedar Rapids; her son, Kerry Harder of Belle Plaine and his daughters, Erica Hoskins (Kraig Cyner) of Cedar Rapids and Samantha Harder (Kevin Abler) of Des Moines and her daughter, Alivia Abler; her son, Kirk Harder of Tiffin and his children, Nicolas Harder of Iowa City, Alexandria and Emilie Harder of Tiffin; her daughter Tonya (Jay) Hamilton of Belle Plaine and their children, Kaley and Cole; and her brother, Donald (Norma) Andresen of Okoboji.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
