Anderson, Jerry L.
Jerry L. Anderson, 78, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Des Moines and Fort Dodge, died Friday, May 4, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Services will be private. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Buelow of Cedar Rapids and Jan Anderson of Des Moines; a son, Jerry of Des Moines; and a sister, Patricia (Robert) Strope of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Daryl and Jack.
Jerry was born May 5, 1933, the son of John and Amy (Striegel) Anderson. Jerry worked for the Cedar Rapids Water Department for many years.
