[Men's Basketball] Underwood, Coleman, Kenyi tabbed by MCC

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- Junior forward Chad Underwood was a repeat member of the Midwest Collegiate Conference men's basketball first team and junior forward Alex Coleman and senior forward Sam Kenyi were honorable mention all-conference by a vote of league coaches.

Underwood, a first-team all-MCC and honorable mention NAIA all-America selection last year, led Mount Mercy and was fifth in the MCC in scoring this season at 15.7 points per game. He shot 52.4 percent from the floor and 89.9 percent from the free throw line while averaging 5.8 rebounds per contest. Underwood was second in the league in blocked shots (40) and also led the Mustangs in 3-point field goals (48) and steals (42).

Coleman was the team's second-leading rebounder (6.2 rpg) and third-leading scorer (10.6 ppg). He was a 41.8 percent field goal shooter and was third on the squad with 26 treys and fourth with 31 steals. Kenyi was third in the league in rebounding (8.2 rpg) while also leading the Mustangs in field goal percentage (54.0%). His 13.2 points per outing was second on the team, as were his 12 blocks.
