Eastern Iowans looking to cast votes in the June 7 primary can do so as soon as Thursday.
That's when early voting begins in Linn and Johnson counties.
In Linn County, early voting starts at 8 a.m. at the Linn County Auditor's Office Election Services Department at the Public Service Center, 935 Second St SW.
Johnson County early voting starts at 7:45 a.m. at the Auditor's Office, 913 S. Dubuque St. The auditor's office also is providing several satellite voting locations in May and early June.
As a partisan primary, voters must declare a party before receiving a ballot.
Voters also can have absentee ballots mailed to them, which must be returned postmarked on or before June 6.
