Douglas Scott Meyer, 57, of Billings, Mont., formerly of Cedar Rapids, went to rest in the arms of his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Jan. 28, 2014. Services were Feb. 3 at First Baptist Church, Laurel, Mont., followed by burial in Fromberg, Mont.
Surviving are his wife, Sally; his mother, Mary Ellen; his children, Emily and Benjamin; brothers, Philip, Timothy, Jonathon and Joseph; and sister, Margaret (Gilbertson).
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward.
Born in Cedar Rapids to Mary Ellen and Edward Meyer, he graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High and also Iowa State University. He worked for Exxon as an engineer at its Baytown, Texas, refinery until he transfered to the Billings refinery.
In Montana, Doug established his families' Grace Valley Farm, specializing in exquisite spinning wools.
