Appointments

Elizabeth Gauer (see photo) joined the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. She will continue her cardiology practice at Cedar Rapids Heart Center.

Julie Zielinski (see photo) joined the Entrepreneurial Development Center, a Cedar Rapids-based business accelerator, as vice president of marketing and strategy. Zielinski most recently was the MBA Marketing Academy business director and adjunct lecturer at the University of Iowa Tippie School of Business.

Spencer Weeks (see photo) has joined Hills Bank and Trust Co. as first vice president-commercial banking in the Cedar Rapids southwest branch.

The Iowa City Area Development Group hired Janee Bradshaw to help coordinate its new campaign. The campaign, based on ICAD Group's Vision 2030, will generate funding for ICAD Group programming for the next five years. Bradshaw recently moved to the region from Louisville, Ky., where she worked as administrative coordinator for the Louisville Metro Government.

The Iowa Senior Human Resources Association has announced new officers: DaLayne Williamson (see photo) of the Iowa City Area Development Group is past president and chairman. Russ Curry (see photo) with West Music Co. Inc. will serve as president. Joan Murrin of the University of Iowa's Dual Career Network will serve as vice president.

Affordable Housing Network Inc. announced Judy Stoffel (see photo), manager of community building at the United Way of East Central Iowa, has joined the organization's board of directors. Corey Houchins-Witt, (see photo) joined as director of real estate development. Houchins-Witt was previously asset manager for National Housing Compliance in western Illinois.

Elections

Glenn Siders (see photo), vice president of development with Southgate Development Iowa City, was elected as the 2012 president of the Homebuilders Association of Iowa. He also will serve as chairman of the board for the HBA of Iowa and as a liaison to the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C. Also on the State HBA Executive Committee are Rob Hajek (see photo), Home Repair Team Inc., North Liberty, first vice president; Drew Retz (see photo), Jerry's Homes Inc., Cedar Rapids, second vice president; and Tari Dailey (see photo), Ogden & Adams Lumber, Cedar Rapids, immediate past president. Also elected to the HBA IA Executive Committee from the Corridor was Mike Farr (see photo), Cascade Manufacturing Co., associate national director.
