Update: Police identify man killed in Marion motorcycle crash

MARION - Marion police on Monday identified the motorcyclist killed in an crash Saturday as Matthew L. Dunkel, 40, of Marion.

Police said three motorcycles were northbound on Highway 13 around 4:15 p.m. when a sport-utility vehicle that was westbound on Hennessey Parkway hit the bike Dunkel and a passenger were riding.

Dunkel was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger on the motorcycle, Tami M. Mysak, 51, of Springville, suffered serious head and internal injuries and remained hospitalized Monday, police said.

The driver of the SUV, 18-year-old Jagger A. Glubka, 18, of Cedar Rapids, was treated at Mercy Medical Center for dizziness, police said. Police continue to investigate how the crash happened, and no charges had been filed as of Monday morning.
