Maach, Debra Jean
Debra Jean Maach, 54, of Hiawatha, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at REM which was her home. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids by Chaplain Joseph Kane. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may visit Tuesday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Debra was born March 25, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Russell and Vivian (Mrzena) Maach.
Debra is survived by her aunt, Lillian (Ernie) Podhajsky of Traer; sister-in-law, Lorelei Maach of Cedar Rapids; several cousins; and her REM family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry and Kenneth.
She loved listening to music and watching musicals, going to Camp Courageous, shopping and to the movies, spending time with people and being the center of attention. Debra always had a big smile on her face and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Debra's family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center and Hospice for the outstanding care she received.
