Man arrested for filming under women's skirts at Coralville mall

UPDATED WITH PHOTO: A Coralville man was arrested Monday after police say he filmed two women without their knowledge at the Coral Ridge Mall.

According to an arrest report, Richard K. Rowell, 66, allegedly reached under the skirts of two different women at two different locations at the mall, 1451 Coral Ridge Ave., and taped them with a camcorder.

Coralville Police Lt. Shane Kron said Rowell stood in line behind the women at two different businesses to film them. The first woman was not aware Rowell had filmed her, but the second woman caught him in the act after he bumped into her. The woman alerted mall security, who detained Rowell until Coralville police arrived.

Rowell has been charged with invasion of privacy, a serious misdemeanor.
