Dill, Mary Ellen
Mary Ellen Dill, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Oct., 15, 2013, at Heritage Nursing Home, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at the funeral home. Burial: Mount Vernon Cemetery, Mount Vernon.
Survivors include three nephews and two nieces and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Virginia Tschopp and Elaine Miller.
Mary was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Thomas and Mae (Burge) Dill. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1941. Mary worked at Killians Department Store for 32 years as a cashier. She was an active member of Sharon United Methodist Church since 1937 and also a member of the A.B.W.A.
Mary was a kindhearted person.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sharon United Methodist Church.
