Hills Bank robbery may be connected to Marion robbery last year

Ave. Marion was robbed by a white male wearing a tan jacket, tan ball cap, glasses, and a surgical mask.

On Friday May 26, 2011, a man matching that description robbed the Hills Bank and Trust near Edgewood Rd.

The descriptions are similar in both robberies.  Marion and Cedar Rapids Police are asking anyone with information concerning either bank robbery to contact the police or call Linn County Crime Stoppers (1-800-272-7463).  Information leading to the arrest of a suspect in either robbery is eligible for a reward.
