Letter: Vanorny will show up, do the work

I recently started a non-partisan political group called All In. Our group creates safe space to dialogue about the current climate in America, educate, build community, and focus on activities that will bring positive change. We've chosen to focus on building bridges, not building walls with our actions and events. The basic assumption is that eventually, someday, we all have to be on the same page or, simply put, all in.
Shortly after forming All In, I met Ashley Vanorny. She invited me for a cup of coffee and a chat about our group. Since that first cup of coffee, Ashley has been a constant source of support for events and projects. She shows up with fresh ideas and supportive comments. She attends events, even though she has a full schedule.
In getting to know Ashley it became clear she is a whip-smart, strong candidate and someone who really cares about what happens to our town. She's ready to do the work to create a better Cedar Rapids, and to help build a better future for our little part of the world of which we can all be proud.
Ashley will show up for District 5, because that's what she does. Ashley will show up for a better Cedar Rapids. Vote Ashley Vanorny for District 5 city council.
