Two departments battle Ryan house fire

With the help of the Manchester Fire Department, Ryan firefighters battled a blaze at 733 Carter Drive in Ryan.
The fire, reported around 11 p.m. Monday, damaged the front portion of the home, which had no electric, gas, or water at the time of the fire. There were people inside the home at the time of the fire, and they did get out safely.
Firefighters tell KCRG-TV9 that the people living there were burning a candle with fuel from a Coleman lantern. Crews were on scene for nearly four hours overnight.
Firefighters were on scene for about three hours and 45 minutes.
The Ryan Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
