Former Rider Stalock gets call to NHL

Former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders goaltender Alex Stalock has been called up from the minor leagues to the NHL's San Jose Sharks and will be in uniform for the team's game Wednesday night at Los Angeles.
Stalock is expected to return to the American Hockey League's Worcester Sharks after the game. He played in Cedar Rapids from 2004 through 2006 and was named the MVP of the Clark Cup championship series in 2005.
Stalock played collegiately three seasons for Minnesota-Duluth.
"It's definitely nice to be able to go through this for a couple days," Stalock told the San Jose Mercury-News.
If he gets into a game, Stalock would become the ninth former RoughRider to play in the NHL. The others are
