Republicans need history lesson

In listening to the Republicans take President Barack Obama to the wood shed over his agreement with Iran, one might get the impression that they were the experts on foreign policy. Nothing could be further from the truth.
One only has to look at their support of the George W. Bush/Dick Cheney decision to invade a sovereign nation based on lies and falsified intelligence. These miscreants had virtually no military or combat experience.
If Saddam Hussein was worse than Adolf Hitler, as Sen. Chuck Grassley likes to maintain, then why did we invade Iraq after they fought a 10-year proxy war for us against Iran? In all but accusing Obama of selling out the country, these miscreants forget that our warriors were sold out by the warmongering Bush administration.
Who is able to forget former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld telling one of our warriors that you go to war with army you have, not the one you want? When one is planning to invade a country for two or three years, you would expect that you would send a well-equipped army.
The Republicans would do well to learn some history.
