David Oman joins Sen. Joni Ernst's Iowa Senate campaign

Longtime Iowa Republican leader David Oman has endorsed state Sen. Joni Ernst in her bid for the GOP U.S. Senate nomination and joined the campaign as finance chairman.
Ernst, a Red Oak Republican, is in a six-way contest for the nomination to face Democrat U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley in the race for the seat now held by Sen. Tom Harkin.
Oman, who worked as chief of staff to Iowa Govs. Bob Ray and Terry Branstad and as a four-term co-chair of the Republican Party of Iowa. He served as state co-chairman of the Romney for President campaign in 2011-12.
