Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Helmrichs, 93, of Manchester, died at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Funeral Service: 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at First Lutheran Church in Manchester, by the Rev. Allan Oman. Visitation: 1:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at First Lutheran Church, Manchester. Interment: Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Ryan.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Shirley Helmrichs of rural Manchester; two grandchildren, Harmony Helmrichs of Cedar Rapids and Jamie Helmrichs of Manchester; three great-grandchildren, R.J. Helmrichs, Jada Helmrichs and Janaeyah Helmrichs. several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, including a special great-niece, Janel (Kelly) Smith of Manchester
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George on Oct. 24, 1991; her son, Gary “Otis” Helmrichs on June 9, 2012; and seven siblings.
