                                    Syring, Bethany Hulda
Bethany Hulda Syring, 80, of Appleton, Wis., formerly of Eldridge and Tipton, Iowa, died Oct. 27, 2009, at her home in Appleton. A visitation will take place Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge, with a one hour visitation before the funeral service. Pastor Dan Mixdorf and Pastor Dale Marshall will be officiating. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

Bethany Hulda Syring, daughter of Martin and Hulda Kruckenberg Wenndt, was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Lowden, Iowa. She attended school in Lowden while growing up. On April 23, 1950, Bethany was united in marriage to Harold John Syring in Lowden. Bethany was a homemaker and a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge, Kings Daughters and Women of the Moose.
Bethany is loved and survived by her son, Larry (Debbie) Syring of Appleton, Wis.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Anthony) Bowers, Michael (Mara) Syring and Michelle (Chris) Stokes; great-grandchildren, Jackson Stokes, Rohan Syring, Taylor Bowers and Kaylee Bowers; sister, Marvella Hans of Ankeny; and son-in-law, Gary Spies of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Hulda Wenndt; husband, Harold Syring on Jan. 16, 2001; daughter, Barbara Spies on Sept. 13, 1975; sister, Ellouise Daehn; and brother, Clifford Wenndt.
