One hurt in Marion rollover crash

UPDATE: One person was hurt Thursday afternoon in a rollover accident at the intersection of Alburnett Road and Echo Hill Road in Marion Thursday afternoon.

Sangeena Sharma, 34, of Cedar Rapids, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital after the accident a few minutes before 3 p.m.

According to Marion police, Sharma failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a car driven by Diane McVey, 48, of Alburnett, who was driving north on Alburnett Road. Sharma's car rolled onto its top after the collision.

McVey wasn't injured.

Sharma was cited for failing to obey a stop sign. Marion police didn't know which hospital she was taken, to, but Sharma isn't listed as a patient at either St. Luke's Hospital or Mercy Medical Center.
