Anthony, David N.
David N. Anthony, 77, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Vinton Lutheran Home following a lingering illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at First Christian Church in Vinton with the Rev. Connie Wacht officiating. Military rites will be performed by Geo. G. Luckey American Legion Post 57 of Vinton and U.S. Navy Funeral Honors of Great Lakes, Ill. Memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday also at First Christian Church, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Per David's wishes, his body has been cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pat Anthony of Vinton; one sister, Sally (Sam) Paul of North Granby, Conn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home of Vinton is caring for David and his family.
