Teresa Black, 49, of Bellingham, Wash., passed away July 12, 2014, at home surrounded by her family.
Teresa grew up in Cedar Rapids. After graduating from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, she did her medical residency in psychiatry at the University of Washington. She was in private practice in Bellingham.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Rick Black; children, Clara, Noah and Amelia; parents, Marvin and Marlyce Heidt; brother, Andrew Heidt; and many loving friends and family.
A celebration of Teresa's life will be July 25 in Bellingham.
The family is accepting donations for a memorial in Teresa's name.
