Biedermann, Jerry Louis
Jerry Louis Biedermann, 58, of 2315 Eighth Ave., Marion, died suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at his home. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Volga, by the Rev. Lin Reichstadter. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, and before services at the church on Tuesday. Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery, Volga.
Survivors include a sister, Susan Black, and a niece, Ellen Black, both of Cedar Rapids; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry was born May 3, 1951, the son of Earl W. and Evelyn V. (Hulverson) Biedermann, in Oelwein, Iowa. He graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids in 1970. Jerry worked as a janitor at the Collins Road Hy-Vee for 26 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, loved flowers, Elvis Presley, art and photography. Jerry also enjoyed eating foods of all kinds and attending Ellen's clarinet performances.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 700 Washington St., Volga, IA 52077 in Jerry's memory.
