He knows the connections between education and the private and public sectors is essential to growing our own. He will be an advocate who will continue to grow Iowa's economic development.

Because he served in the Legislature from 2007-09, he has firsthand knowledge of what it takes to move legislation forward. By reaching across the aisle, he collaborated on math and science initiatives, increased funding for preschool and community colleges, and established economic development programs while maintaining a budget surplus.
