Water problems span decades in Iowa

I really enjoyed Alaina Wilson's Letter to the Editor in the June 9 Gazette. She is a student at Liberty High School. Her letter was well written and well researched. She identified some of the causes of water pollution. She also wrote about some of the solutions.
I wrote a research paper about water pollution as a middle school student in the 1960's. It was a problem then.
I hope that the deniers of water pollution, such as Sen. Joni Ernst, soon will be outnumbered by those who are concerned about the quality of our water for generations to come.
