Wagoner, Richard 'Rick' Timothy
Richard “Rick” Timothy Wagoner, 38, of Farmington, N.M., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at his home.
Rick was born April 4, 1975, at Cherry Point Marine Base, Havelock, N.C. Rick graduated from College Heights Baptist Academy in 1994 and went on to earn his degree in industrial processing and was a long term employee at Beeline Gas Systems. He loved the challenges of the field and enjoyed solving any problem that came his way. Rick married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Andrea, in October 2006 and was a loving father, husband and friend.
He was passionate about food, writing, playing the bass, Mountain Dew and Dr Pepper. An avid heavy metal enthusiast and dedicated “World of Warcraft” player, he loved the fall weather, Halloween and the holiday seasons.
Rick was never shy about voicing his opinion and saying exactly what he thought. He may have been liked by few but was deeply loved and admired by many. Life was brighter with him in it.
He leaves behind his wife, Andrea Wagoner; son, Noah James Hobaugh; daughters, Brenna, and twins Amie and Abbie Hobaugh; mother, JoAnn Wagoner-Caldwell; in-laws, Russell Huffman and Pamela Huffman; brothers, Mike Caldwell of Fayetteville, Ark., and Andrew Caldwell and Chris Sanchez, both of Farmington, N.M.; brother-in-law, Aaron Huffman; sisters, Rachel Doolin and Alicia Caldwell, both of Farmington; his faithful companion, his dog “Tasha-Bear”; one nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rick's name to Wells Fargo Bank, 501 East 20th St., Farmington, NM 87401.
Rick will be interred at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St., Farmington, N.M. A remembrance gathering will be held at Viking Lounge, 1971 16th Ave. SW, in Cedar Rapids at 7 p.m. Friday.
