Davis, Dustin 'Dusty' Joseph

Dustin “Dusty” Joseph Davis, 35, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, Ga., with the Rev. Daryl Wells and the Rev. David Poston officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Dusty loved to fish, joke and cut up. He loved basketball, football, and was a big Georgia Bulldogs fan. Dusty enjoyed tinkering with his car, being outdoors, cooking, and dreaming up and experimenting with dishes. Dusty would give the shirt off his back to a stranger and would talk to anyone. He trusted easily and had an extremely close relationship with his family.

Dusty will be remembered for his huge heart and his love for his family and friends.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Donnie and Kathy Davis, Jacksonville, Fla.; mother, Virginia Ila Davis; sister, Abigail Lynn Davis; and niece, Sabrina Lynn Davis, all of Commerce, Ga.; nephew, Dakota Joseph Garrett, Cleveland, Ga.; girlfriend, Mikie Francis; best friend, Mark Jackson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Flowers are accepted or, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Suwanee Baptist Church, 4118 Old Suwanee Rd., Buford, GA 30518.
