On Aug. 31, 2014, as his Savior called his name, Dennis Lee Parizek Sr. entered eternal rest with his
wife and fam-ily in Heaven. He passed away in the loving care of his family at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, with Deacon Joe Behounek presiding. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Vining. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
His family find it fitting to remember him every Labor Day for the hard worker and provider that he was.
Dennis was born Jan. 4, 1940, in Marshalltown to Leonard and Rose Kuchynka Parizek. On June 25, 1960, he was united in marriage to Linda Bartosh. Together they raised six children; Gloria (Chet) Wendt of Traer, Dennis (Lynn) Parizek Jr. of Belle Plaine, Theresa (Ron Jr.) Stivers of Clutier, Cindy (Mike) Dunning of Toledo, Sarah Homrighausen of Tama and Dallas (Christina) Parizek of Vining; brothers, Damian of Milan, Ill., Daniel (Jolene) of Tama and Duane (Shelly) of Clutier; sisters, Donna Klettke of Wheatland, Mo., and Deb (Bob) Kern of Toledo; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2009, parents, three brothers and one sister.
