Norris, Georgia S.
Georgia S. Norris, 92, of Prescott, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Pleasant Valley Care Home in Prescott. Graveside services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Per Georgia's request there will be no visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Terry of Brawley, Calif., and Larry of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Jacqueline Rizzo of Prescott, Ariz.; two sisters, Carol Hill of California and Ellamae Luckey of Washington, Iowa; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters.
Georgia was born Feb. 20, 1919, in Solon, the daughter of Fred and Bessie Severa. She married Curtis D. Norris in November 1943. He died in 2003.
Georgia was a very nostalgic and gregarious lady. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, tatting, crocheting, letter writing and especially the time she spent with her beloved family and many friends.
