Dudley, Edward L. 'Ed'
Edward L. “Ed” Dudley, 62, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Mercy Iowa City. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Edward Lynn Dudley was born Sept. 3, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Quentin and Mary (Lynn) Dudley. Growing up in Cedar Rapids, he attended schools there graduating from Jefferson High School in 1969. He was previously married to Mary Imsland Richeson and Joan (Tvrdik) Hayward. On May 21, 2012, he married Debra Cummings, his companion of 14 years. He was co-founder of Dudley Brothers Construction and was an integral part of the company for 35 years, until retiring this past year. Ed was a lifelong Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, grilling with friends and spending time with his family.
His family includes his mother, Mary Dudley of Cedar Rapids; his wife, Debra; children, Seth Dudley, Jillian Dudley Medina and her husband, Donis, and Megan Dudley all of Iowa City; grandson, Emanuel Medina; stepchildren, Ethan Richeson, Samantha Telecky and Brandi Burriss; his siblings, Carol Johnson (Larry) of Center Point, Ernie Dudley (Sharon) of McKinney, Texas, Vern Dudley (Deb) of Lisbon, Lorin Dudley (Dyanne) of Iowa City and Johnny Dudley (Peggy) of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Quentin.
