JAMES MULLENIX
Cedar Rapids
James "Jim" McClelland Mullenix passed away July 10, 2014, at St. Luke's Hos-pital, Cedar Rapids, three days after the passing of Irene, his wife of 62 years. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services.
Jim was born Sept. 22, 1929, near Ottumwa, Iowa, to Otis and Elva Roxanne "Roxey" (Towne) Mullenix. He was united in marriage to Irene Sedore on Oct. 9, 1951. Jim was known to many people in Cedar Rapids as a propane deliveryman and gas station owner, but his greatest passion was selling cars and making deals.
He is survived by his son, Stephen (Donna); and daughter, Pamella (Jim) Spratte. He has five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his brother-in-law, Chester Sedore of Ottumwa; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. We also would like to acknowledge their extended family in the Cedar Rapids area and in Brownsville, Texas.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nadine and Lola Maxine; and twin grandsons.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Together forever.
