Authorities say two Council Bluffs men are accused of beating another man before tossing him in the frigid Missouri River.
Police say Rodney Koehrsenof of Council Bluffs was beaten with rocks early Thursday and thrown into the river north of the city.
Koehrsen made it to shore and walked more than a mile to a gas station to get help. He was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
Officials say David Maddox and Jeremy Gibler were arrested later Thursday in Omaha, Neb. They're charged with attempted murder, first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping.
The Pottawattamie County sheriff's office on Friday said the men were jailed in Douglas County, Neb., pending extradition to Iowa. Bond was set at $750,000 each.
