Siemer, Peggy J.
Peggy J. Siemer, 76, of 2903 F Ave. NW, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. David Grandon will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Brummer of Cedar Rapids; her son, Larry Tom Siemer of Clarinda, Iowa; her brother, William Herbert Kirby Jr. and wife Judy of Reno, Nev.; three grandsons, Jamie, Josh and Jake Brummer; and her cousin, Fran Duddley of Las Vegas, Nev.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Peggy was born March 23, 1934, in Fairbury, Neb., to William H. and Elna “Peggy” Henderson. She married Larry R. Siemer on Jan. 6, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo. He passed away Oct. 13, 2006. She was employed in the marking room at Armstrong's Department Store from 1965 to 1987, when she retired. She enjoyed playing bridge and had been a member of Al-Anon.
Peggy was a wonderful mother, sister, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
