Murray, Teve
Teve Murray, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Evergreen Estates. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will start at noon. Cedar Memorial Certified Celebrate Jim Parton will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Phil J. (Chrissy) Murray of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Norman (Virginia) Holcombe of Harlan; a grandson, Jeremy J. Murray of Lyons, Kan.; a great-grandson, Beau J. Murray of McCook, Neb.; two great-great-grandchildren, Taunie Marie Murray and Aiden James Murray; and a beloved granddog, Kodac Murray.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Zachariah Jack Murray; and her brothers, Edward and Richard Holcombe.
Teve was born Dec. 26, 1933, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Mildred (Dickenson) Holcombe. She married Zachariah Murray on Oct. 17, 1954, in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Teve was a homemaker. Her family meant the world to her. Her time spent with her family was priceless. She also enjoyed reading history books, bowling and taking the grandson to movies and the dinner theaters.
