King continues ‘spewing racist rhetoric’

To the editor:
Donald Trump has recently made several unsubstantiated pejorative remarks about undocumented immigrants. Now, the backlash has begun with his being 'fired” from his TV show and his product lines being removed from retail outlets. There should be a price to pay for such egregious behavior and he's paying it.
But, what about Steve King? Iowa's most infamous member of Congress has called undocumented immigrants, even their children, 'drug mules” with 'calves the size of cantaloupes.” House Speaker John Boehner has denounced such outrageous statements saying that, 'There's no place in this debate for hateful or ignorant comments from elected officials.” Yet, on Wednesday Rep. King was on national TV again spewing his racist rhetoric.
How long must Iowa's reputation suffer before this man is replaced with a representative who fully merits the public's trust?
