Otten, Shirley Ann
Shirley Ann Otten, 66, of Amana, died Saturday morning, June 5, 2010, at Colonial Manor of Amana Nursing Home following a long battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Darryl Larson will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.

Surviving are two children, Amy (Terry) Ira, Iowa City, and Doug (Lori) Otten, La Plata, Md.; eight grandchildren; and four sisters, Janice (John) Brokens, Carrollton, Texas, Joan (Bill) Barton, Monticello, Sharon (Bill) Kutcher, Oxford, and Mary Ann (Dave) Mullis, Greeley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
