Letter: Vernon will lead with integrity, compassion

I would like to offer my support to Monica Vernon.

I've known Vernon for almost 20 years as an employer, mentor and friend. Over that time, she has consistently spoken up for families, men, women and children, and has taken action to improve the quality of life of many people. She has been a true advocate and has set an example for service in her volunteer work creating the Madge Phillips Center, as a businesswoman, and as an elected official for the City of Cedar Rapids.

I believe that she will be outstanding as a representative of our district in Congress. Knowing Vernon, I'm confident that she will lead with integrity, intelligence and compassion.
