Shooting shows need for stronger gun laws
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 10, 2011 2:11 pm
In the wake of the tragic shooting in Arizona that killed six people and wounded 13 others, it is clear to me that the assault weapons ban signed into law under the Clinton administration but then allowed to expire under the Bush administration needs to be revived.
My life will be no less rich, nor no less safe, if I am not allowed access to such weapons.
If banning certain types of assault weapons can prevent any of these sickening acts, it is more than worth it.
