Cedar Rapids teen charged with robbing Coral Ridge Mall kiosk

CORALVILLE – Investigators say a teen male from Cedar Rapids is now in custody after he allegedly stole jewelry from a Coral Ridge Mall kiosk and displayed a knife while being chased.
Coralville police say Iviontae Jackson, 17, took jewelry from J & A Gold and Silver, a kiosk at the mall, at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. A chase ensued, involving kiosk employees, but police say Jackson confronted them with a knife in the parking lot.
Police soon got involved and caught Jackson, recovering both the knife and stolen jewelry.
Jackson is facing a charge of first-degree robbery, a Class B felony.
