About 1,400 tickets left for Ohio State-Iowa; 4,000 for wrestling dual

IOWA CITY - Around 1,400 tickets remain for Saturday afternoon's Iowa-Ohio State men's basketball game, University of Iowa ticket operations manager Pam Finke said Friday morning.
Finke said her office sold between 800 and 1,000 tickets on Thursday, one day after the Hawkeyes stunned Minnesota 64-62 for their second straight road game. No. 6 Ohio State (14-2, 2-1 Big Ten) has beaten Iowa (10-6, 2-1) six straight times but won 73-68 last year at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
"The one thing that we're trying to get people to do is go online and order ahead of time so they don't show up and we're out," Finke said. "We want them to have them in their hands.
"So if they go online and do an order or call us on the phone, they can do a print at home, and they've got the tickets and they don't have to wait in any type of line."
Iowa's last two basketball sellouts have come against border rival Illinois, whose fans often travel to Iowa City. Iowa sold out the season opener against the Illini on Dec. 29, 2010, and the last previous sellout was March 1, 2008. The Illini do not play at Carver-Hawkeye Arena this season.
About 4,000 tickets remain for Saturday night's wrestling dual between No. 1 Iowa and No. 2 Oklahoma State, Finke said.
