Copper, Gilbert F. 'Smiley'
Gilbert F. “Smiley” Copper, 86, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge. Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Dodge. Interment will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery, with military honors provided by VFW Post 1856. The visitation is from 5 to 7 tonight at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m.
Gilbert is survived by many loving family members.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and his career was teaching science and mathematics to students.
