McGowan, Florence D.
Florence D. McGowan, 92, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at the Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab Center in Vinton following an extended illness. Graveside Services:
1 p.m. Thursday at Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at Phillips Family Center, 605 Second Ave, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday.
A Memorial Fund has been established.
Florence is survived by her children, Keith McGowan, Shirley (Kevin) Schwartz and Janet Moody; and her daughter-in-law Nancy McGowan, all of Vinton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Leona Walker of Vinton.
