Hallock, Karen L.
Karen L. Hallock, 79, of Marion, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Karen Lee Hallock was born on July 4, 1933, to Paul and Dorothy Peterson Andersen in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to David Hallock on Dec. 22, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. Karen enjoyed flowers, gardening, classical music, all animals, cooking and most importantly family celebrations. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, David; children, Alan (Jeannine) Hallock of Andover, Kan., Susan Hallock of Marion, Gail (Tony) Polashek of Shamong, N.J. and Eric Hallock of Guatemala City, Guatemala; a brother, P. Richard Andersen of Cedar Rapids; and five grandchildren.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Jennifer Hallock in 1973.
Memorial donations may be directed to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
