School district hosts Innovation Day event
CEDAR RAPIDS - Staff and students from the Cedar Rapids Community School District's project-based learning programs host Innovation Day 2017 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Cedar Rapids Public Library, 450 Fifth Ave. SE.
Admission is free.
The event provides an opportunity for parents, students and community members to learn more about the programs and how to get involved. Programs include the Franklin Middle School KITE Program, Jefferson BlendEd Program, Johnson STEAM Academy Magnet School, Iowa BIG, Kenwood Leadership Academy Magnet School, Metro STEAM Academy and Roosevelt Creative Corridor Magnet School.
The evening includes an Innovation Fair showcasing student-led projects, as well as 'EdTalk” presentations from each program.
