Melvin M. Oswald, 85, a resident of Sunnycrest Manor in Dubuque, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. There will be a visitation at 10 a.m. Thursday, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Franta of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon.
